There for you on your big day
A wedding is a big day, a huge milestone in someone's life. Brides and grooms are excited, full of anticipation of their new life ahead, a bag of nerves about the day itself, and hopefully surrounded by the right people as they prepare for this magical moment.
But for some people, there may be someone missing. A very special someone. There can be many reasons for this, including bereavement, family estrangement, or, particularly for members of the LGBTQ+ community, the loss of maternal relationship because of their sexuality, gender identity or choice of life partner.
It was a chance conversation which sparked the idea. As an experienced wedding planner, I know what goes in to planning a wedding and the surge of emotion which the day can generate. The thought that people might be feeling bereft, unsupported or just in need of a reassuring hug, filled me with the urge to step in to that space. Not to replace, but to supplement. To be in your corner, providing a knowledgeable, dependable and calming presence at a time when you need it most. Perhaps then I can alleviate that sense of loss and help to create an atmosphere of excitement and hope.
Only you will know what is right for you. I can only promise to bring all my knowledge, expertise and a big heart (and hugs when needed) and do all I can to make your wedding experience the best it can be - memorable for all the right reasons. Why don't we have a chat and you can decide if I am the one for you. You don't need to be alone on the morning of your big day - I can be there for you, as your very own Wedding Mum.
